United States seeks closer ties with “countries whale”

New international situation and the power of reordering put Brazil as one of the leading countries in the global board, what attracts attention and partnership giant dome US and China.

The advancement of the emerging countries and the most important after the international financial crisis opened the precedent for Brazil to stand out in the international scenario, attracting the eyes and attention of countries historically political leaders in the world.

No accident, the arrival of President Barack Obama to the country has been identified as a turning point in the national foreign policy. No longer doubts remain that - perhaps for the first time in history - Brazil has seemed attractive enough to the US giant's eyes.

“There is a desire to have a new ally for the century 21 e, for this, no one better than the so-called countries whale”, says the researcher from the University of São Paulo, Geraldo Forbes.

In other words, Americans come to Latin America in search of a weight partner to increase its influence in the decisions of the region, is favoring this primacy of Brazilian companies.

However, although this is the first contact between the parties, Forbes does not rule out the possibility of the emergence of a more complex agenda.

Even marking the beginning of a new relationship between Brazil and the United States, some argue that Obama would not have even accepted the invitation to come to the country as incompatible agendas with President Lula. Come election time, are bilateral visits suspended.

“Today we have some resemblance agenda with the United States. Some agreements must arise”, rating Rodrigo de Araújo Cintra Ulhoa, Head of Department of International Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing Relations.

Araújo bet on it called “a number of umbrella agreements” who will work in various sectors. “I think you go out guidelines of social development sector and environment, and new negotiations on sanitary and phytosanitary barriers to products to Brazil”, he explained.
