Education, human behavior and institutional transformation. Different fields of knowledge, the same restlessness: understand how people develop and how we can build environments that favor this process.
I'm Rodrigo Cintra, educational executive, researcher and psychoanalyst. My professional trajectory was built at the intersection between education, management and the study of human behavior, areas that, although often treated independently, share fundamental questions about learning, development and transformation.
I have a PhD in International Relations from the University of BrasÃlia (UnB), Master in Psychology from Montreux Business School, in Switzerland, and carried out a post-doctorate in Creative Industries and Territorial Competitiveness at ISCTE, in Lisbon. My education reflects a characteristic that has always guided my choices: interest in understanding complex problems from different perspectives.
Throughout career, I worked in academic management and led educational transformation projects. currently, I am Executive Director of Innovation and Customer Experience at ESPM, institution where I also served as Academic Director and Director of Innovation. This experience allowed me to closely observe the challenges faced by educational institutions, especially when they need to reconcile traditional education models with the needs of students who learn and develop in different ways.
parallel, My training in Psychology and my work as a psychoanalyst broadened my interest in the subjective processes that influence our choices. The way we deal with change, The conflicts between our desires and behaviors and the difficulties we encounter in transforming intentions into actions are issues that permeate both personal lives and organizations.
I believe that understanding human behavior requires recognizing its contradictions. We don't always do what we know is necessary. Our choices do not always correspond to our desires. E, often, the difficulties that we attribute exclusively to individuals also reveal limitations of the environments in which they are inserted.
This perspective guides my intellectual production.
This space brings together reflections on education, neurodiverse, human behavior and the challenges of transformation. The texts seek to bring together knowledge from different areas, establishing connections between research, professional experience and situations that are part of everyday life.
I do not claim to offer definitive answers to questions that, by its very nature, are complex. My purpose is to contribute to expanding the ways in which we understand these issues and, from that, identify possibilities for change.
After all, transforming a reality begins, oftentimes, by the willingness to question the way we learn to see it.
