21ª Press the Program in the School Edition addresses current issues of International Relations

Sao Paulo, May 2010 – Take place on 17, 19, 24 e 26 from May of 2010, the second and fourth, from 9am to 12pm, the 21st edition of the Press at School Program. Focusing on International Relations, the course is exclusively for journalists, lasting four days and classes will take place at ESPM – Campus Rodolfo Lima Martensen.

The initiative aims to offer press professionals subsidies to learn about the main characteristics of international relations and discuss topics currently highlighted.

On the first day, the class will be about “The future of Brazilian foreign policy: the next president ", taught by Prof. Denilde Holzhacker. In 19 May, Wednesday, the theme is cooperation, security and international defense, with Prof.. Alberto Montoya.

In 24 May, Monday- market, the class will address "global geopolitics and Iran", prof hair lecionada. Mark Alan. On the last day, 26/04, the course will conclude with the theme “US foreign policy and the future of international relations”, taught by Prof.. and coordinator Rodrigo Cintra.

The course is free and, at end, certificate will be awarded to participants. The class will consist of thirty journalists from various media outlets. The initiative takes place from 2004, the units of the ESPM in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre, and it has brought together around 800 journalists from the country's main media.

17/05- Monday
Topic: The future of Brazilian foreign policy: the next president
The statement said the Holzhacker: PhD in Political Science and currently teaches at ESPM in International Relations. It is specialized in Brazilian Foreign-Policy, Latin America, Democracy and Social Issues.

19/05- Wednesday
Topic: Cooperation, security and international defense
Alberto Montoya: Master in International Relations Program at San Tiago Dantas / Pro-Defense (UNESP-UNICAMP-PUC-SP) (2009). He is currently Professor of International Relations course of ESPM- SP. He has experience in the Peace area, International Security and Defense, with emphasis on War and Strategy Theory, acting on the following theme: Preventive wars in International Relations. It is research associate at the GEDES-UNESP / Franca (Defense and Security Studies Group) and RESDAL (Security and Defense Network of Latin America).

24/05- Monday- market
Topic: global geopolitics and Iran
Mark Alan Ferreira: Master in International Relations – Program Santiago Dantas (UNESP / UNICAMP / PUC-SP) (2006) and doctoral student in Political Science by Unicamp. He is currently Professor in International Relations at ESPM (Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing) and acts as a research associate at the National Institute for the Study of the United States (INEU / UNESP).

Topic: The US foreign policy and the future of International Relations
Rodrigo Cintra: Postdoctoral and Head of Department of International Relations ESPM. It professor specializing in International Organizations, US and International Trade Negotiations.
