summary: The research aims to study the transformations that have been occurring in international and national economic systems. With this objective, seeks to analyze: 1) the reasons for the almost universal adherence to the rhetoric of economic liberalism; 2) the differences between national cases; 3) how such changes relate to the political transformations experienced by the countries considered; 4) the main tension points, the dominant trends and the most predictable scenarios for each country. Like this, the international financial system will be studied, international organizations – particularly GATT and the WTO –, the foreign economic policy of the United States, conflicts of principles and economic reforms.
